Ghazi Abdel Baki: "Communiqué # 2"
Musician and composer, Ghazi Abdel Baki has been playing music since 1986: guitar, percussions and drums. He played with several groups in Lebanon and in the United States. He composes film soundtracks, some of which have won awards.
He is currently performing with Ziad Rahbani?s band "Grand Prix".
His first album, "bare necessity, crucial" was released in 1994. His second album, "Beirut - salsa" was released in 1999 with the group "virus".
"Communiqué # 1" (Forward Music) was launched in 2004. This album consisted of Arabic poetry adapted to a fusion of jazz, salsa and bossa nova. With his new album, "Communiqué # 2", Ghazi Abdel Baki maintains the same direction.
He founded Forward Music with Carol Mansour in 2000. Forward Music has produced the works of several artists, namely: Charbel Rouhana, Ghada Shbeir, Ibrahim Jaber, Ziyad Sahhab, Paul Salem, as well as various compilations.


Ziyad Sahhab: "Keep On Singing"
Ziyad Sahhab started playing the oud in 1989. He became a member of the Beirut Arabic music orchestra in 1993. At the age of 13, he performed solo at the Cairo Opera House. He founded the group "Chehadine Ya Baladna" that participated in a lot of local and world-wide festivals, (Tunisia, Egypt, Italy, France, Turkey.)
His first album "Ouyoun El Bakar" (Forward Music) released in 2004, includes songs of the Egyptian poet Salah Jahine. His new album, named "Keep On Singing", contains 13 tracks, of which the majority is written by the Egyptian poet, Ahmad Fouad Najm. He composes music for several plays, films and Lebanese artists.
