The Last Communiqué is the third album from the Communiqué trilogy. It is the album through which Ghazi Abdel Baki reaches maturity in his fusion work. This is a Bedouin Funk / Arabic Samba album. It fuses the poetry of the great Ahmad Shawki and the mystic indian poet Rabindranath Tagore with grooves and layers of music that can only come out of Beirut.
The sound of this album is very distinct. It is characterized by an upbeat feel with positive undertones. The last Communiqué is performed by a six piece band formed by Beirut’s finest.
