The Handmade concert took place under circumstances best described as delicate. Charbel Rouhana and The Beirut Oriental Ensemble succeeded in disconnecting from external realities. They played entrancingly, captivating the audience for nearly one and a half hours of soaring emotions. The public was under the spell of the music and as Charbel aptly put it: “We thought we were alone in the concert hall, we realized the public was present only when the applause broke out after each musical piece”.
