Break away from the outside world and into the realm of serenity. This CD marks the counterpoint to the tumultuous urban lives we are leading and provides an escape from the daily madness. There are no songs here - just deep contemplative music, truthful expression and beautiful musicianship. The themes are simple and melodic they alternate with instrumental improvisations in a peaceful space.
“Handmade” is a fusion of Oriental and Occidental instruments that are woven together in an interplay only Charbel Rouhana can pull. This CD was recorded during four consecutive days in March 2008. The result was a magnificent Live performance by the five musicians that culminated in the recording of 11 musical compositions. The line-up consists of: Oud (Middle Eastern Luth), Bouzok (Middle Eastern Bouzouki), violin, Rik (Middle Eastern hand held percussions) and Bass.
